November 2026 TCG Release Calendar: Two Big Sets, One Collision

November 2026 is the busiest fortnight of the trading card year, and two of the biggest releases land on the same day. If you buy to play, to collect or to flip, the order you spend in matters more this month than usual.

Here is the calendar, what each release actually is, and where the collisions are.

The November calendar

Date Release Game Type
6 Nov Mega Evolution – Delta Reign Pokémon TCG Main expansion
6–12 Nov Star Trek prerelease Magic: The Gathering Prerelease events
13 Nov Star Trek Magic: The Gathering Main set + Commander set

Everything else in November sits around those three dates. Treat 6 November as the pivot: before it you are buying into prerelease scarcity, after it you are buying into general availability.

Pokémon: Delta Reign, 6 November

More than 135 cards, headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex returning for the first time since XY: Ancient Origins. The rarity split is 14 illustration rares, 17 ultra rares and 6 special illustration rares, and the set introduces Legendary Stadiums — two Stadium halves played together.

Prerelease started 24 October with Build & Battle Boxes, each containing one of four promo cards. Those boxes are the only genuinely supply-constrained product in the set, because stores receive them in proportion to event seats.

By general release on 6 November, boosters and Elite Trainer Boxes are widely available and singles prices begin falling from their prerelease peak.

Magic: Star Trek, 13 November

The final Magic set of 2026 and a Universes Beyond crossover spanning sixty years of Star Trek. Collector Boosters carry an MSRP of $37.99 per pack, with 15 cards per pack and 12 packs per display. A separate Commander set ships alongside, with four precons on distinct three-colour identities.

Prerelease runs 6 to 12 November, which is the week before general release rather than the weekend immediately before it. That longer window is worth noting if you are planning around store events.

Where the collisions are

Three practical problems come out of this calendar.

  • Same-day spending. Delta Reign general release and Star Trek prerelease both begin 6 November. Buying into both at full price in the same week is how budgets get blown before the actual release.
  • Event capacity. Local game stores are running Pokémon league and Magic prerelease in the same space on the same weekend. Seats for both get tight, and walk-ins are less reliable than usual.
  • Softer resale. Whichever product you are slower to list competes for buyers who just spent on the other game. Historically the second product to market sees weaker secondary prices in the first two weeks.

How to sequence the month

If you only want to spend once, the cleanest order is this.

  1. Late October: Delta Reign Build & Battle Boxes at event price, if you intend to play the prerelease. Skip otherwise.
  2. 6–12 November: Star Trek prerelease seat if you play Magic. Do not buy Pokémon singles this week; they are at their peak.
  3. 13 November: Star Trek Commander precon if you want a specific one. These sell through faster than the boosters.
  4. Late November: Pokémon singles. Two to three weeks past release is where Delta Reign prices bottom out.

That sequence buys the scarce things when they are scarce and the abundant things when they are abundant, which is the whole game.

Budgeting the fortnight

A rough allocation stops the 6 November problem from becoming a 20 November regret.

If your budget covers Spend it on Skip
One product only The prerelease you will actually attend Everything sealed
Two products Prerelease seat plus one Commander precon Collector Boosters
Player, not collector Singles in late November Launch-week anything
Collector after specific cards Singles from the second week on Opening boxes to chase one card

The common thread: the only things worth paying launch prices for are the genuinely limited ones — event seats, Build & Battle Boxes and precons. Everything else gets cheaper by waiting a fortnight.

What to skip this month

Sealed boosters as an investment, in both games. Modern print runs are long, and November releases get the full holiday retail window, which means retailers order deep. Sealed product from a set that owns the gift season is the least likely to appreciate in the following year.

Preordering Collector Boosters at MSRP is the other one to think twice about. Crossover Collector product frequently trades below preorder price in the weeks after launch once the first wave clears.

FAQ

What releases in November 2026?

Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution – Delta Reign on 6 November, and Magic: The Gathering Star Trek on 13 November with prerelease from 6 to 12 November.

Which products are actually hard to get?

Delta Reign Build & Battle Boxes at prerelease, and Star Trek Commander precons after launch. Boosters and Elite Trainer Boxes are widely available.

When are Delta Reign singles cheapest?

Typically two to three weeks after the 6 November release, once sealed product is widely available and prerelease scarcity has cleared.

Is it worth buying sealed to hold?

Rarely for November releases. They get the full holiday retail window, so retailers order deep and print runs run long.

Do the two releases clash?

Directly. Delta Reign releases on the first day of Star Trek prerelease, so the two compete for the same money and the same store event space.
