Fat Cat Card: What Replacing a Lost USDT Card Costs
Short answer: Replacing a USDT card costs from $0 to over $100, depending on the issuer and on whether the card is virtual or physical. Bybit lists no fee for virtual cards. RedotPay charges $5 for the first virtual replacement and $10 after that. A lost physical card is the expensive case. Freeze the card first, then decide whether you need a physical one at all.
A card number leaks in a data breach. A wallet goes missing on a train. Either way you need a new card, and the bill depends on the issuer.
This post works out that bill from the fee pages each issuer publishes, checked on October 27, 2026. Some issuers list a replacement fee. Others list only the price of a new card, and the post says which is which. Fees vary by region and can change, so check your own card’s page before you order. What should you do first when a USDT card is lost?
Freeze or lock the card in the issuer’s app first, then report it, because most crypto card terms tie your protection to how fast you tell the issuer.
Tria’s international card terms are a clear example. They say you must notify Tria promptly if your card is lost or stolen, or if you think someone may be using it, and that you will not be liable for unauthorized use that happens after you notify them.
The clock starts when you tell them. Not when you notice.
One detail from RedotPay is worth knowing before you freeze. Its fee table lists frozen cards and lost cards among the reasons for declined transactions, and charges 0.5 USD per decline after the first 3 per card each month. A frozen card that keeps getting tried by a subscription can still cost you a little. Our post Fat Cat Card: What Declined USDT Card Payments Cost works out how those decline fees add up.

How much does a new virtual card cost?
A replacement virtual card costs nothing on Bybit, $5 for the first replacement and $10 after that on RedotPay, and $2 per additional Standard virtual card on KAST, according to each issuer’s fee page checked on October 27, 2026.
| Issuer | Virtual card replacement or new card | What the fee page actually says |
|---|---|---|
| Bybit Card | $0 | No fee for virtual card issuance until further notice; virtual issuance/replacement listed as None |
| RedotPay | $5 first, $10 each after | Listed as Replacement Of Virtual Card; new virtual application 10 USD |
| KAST (Standard) | $2 per additional card | Lists additional Standard virtual cards at $2; no separate replacement line |
| Tria | Not listed separately | Virtual card issue fee $25; terms say fees for issuance or replacement may apply |
| Jupiter | Not listed separately | Fees page lists no annual fee; physical card and one branded virtual card priced |
When I checked the five pages side by side, I found that only two of them use the word “replacement” next to a price. For KAST, Tria and Jupiter, the honest answer is the cost of a new card, plus a question to support if you want to be sure.
KAST’s page also says Standard members get 2 virtual cards included. If you still have a spare, you may not need a new one at all.
How much does a lost physical card cost?
A replacement physical card ranges from 5 USDT on Bybit in Asia Pacific to $109 for Tria’s plastic card, based on each issuer’s listed physical card price as of October 27, 2026.
| Issuer | Physical card price listed | Shipping |
|---|---|---|
| Bybit (Asia Pacific, Kazakhstan AIFC) | 5 USDT issuance or replacement | Not listed separately |
| Bybit (Australia) | 29.99 USD issuance or replacement | Not listed separately |
| Bybit (Brazil, Mexico) | None | Not listed separately |
| Jupiter | $13.13 | Plus shipping; card orders are non-refundable once placed |
| KAST (Standard) | $0 card fee | $40 delivery fee |
| RedotPay | 100 USD physical card application | Standard mail waived; DHL Express varies by country |
| Tria | $109 plastic, $250 metal (issue fee) | Not listed separately |
Bybit’s fees and spending limits page also says VIPs holding an Australia, Kazakhstan (AIFC), Georgia or Asia Pacific physical card pay no fee for card issuance or replacement.
Here’s the thing. The gap between the cheapest and the dearest physical replacement here is more than $100. If you rarely use the plastic, the cheapest replacement may be none. What does a bad year of replacements add up to?
In a made-up bad year with two virtual card replacements and one lost physical card, the listed fees come to $0 to 5 USDT on Bybit (Asia Pacific), $40 to $44 on KAST and $115 on RedotPay, using each issuer’s published fees.
The year is invented. Two breaches that each force a new virtual number, plus one lost wallet. The fees come from the tables above.
| Issuer | 2 virtual replacements | 1 physical replacement | Total for the year |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit (Asia Pacific, non-VIP) | $0 | 5 USDT | About $5 |
| KAST (Standard) | $0 to $4 (spare included card, or 2 × $2) | $40 delivery | $40 to $44 |
| RedotPay | $5 + $10 = $15 | 100 USD (new application) | $115 |
Tria and Jupiter are left out of the total because neither lists a replacement price. Using their new-card prices instead would mean guessing how they bill a replacement.
When I compared the totals, I noticed that the physical card drives almost all of the difference. The virtual side never goes above $15 on any card that publishes a price.
Which costs never show on a fee page?
The biggest cost of a card replacement is often the time spent moving recurring payments, because a replacement card can come with a new number that every subscription has to learn.
Tria’s card terms say replacement cards may have new account numbers that could require you to update the card on file for scheduled or recurring payments, and that you are solely responsible for doing it.
If you’ve ever had a streaming account lapse after a card change, you know how this goes. A missed renewal can cost more than the replacement fee.
Shipping time is the other one. A physical card mailed abroad can take a while, and RedotPay’s table notes that standard mail delivery time may vary by destination. A virtual card on Apple Pay or Google Pay is usually the faster fix while you wait. - Screenshot your issuer’s fee page when you sign up, so you know what a replacement should cost.
Warnings
- Replacement fees differ by region; Bybit’s physical card price ranges from none to 29.99 USD depending on where it was issued.

- This is information, not financial advice. Crypto held on a card platform is not the same as money in an insured bank account.
