FuturesAI Payback on an Existing Account: How to Check

Short answer: Whether an existing exchange account can earn FuturesAI payback depends on the exchange. Bitget allows it only for accounts under 7 days old. Bybit allows 14 days. OKX can re-link. Binance can still link futures if you’ve never opened a futures account. Gate, Toobit, Echobit and OrangeX are checked case by case. If yours doesn’t qualify, the monthly fee saving below shows whether a new account is worth it.

“I already have an account there” is the most common reason someone signs up for fee payback and then gets nothing.

Payback is attached to the referral used when the account was created, as FuturesAI’s exchange guides explain. So the real question isn’t how much payback is worth. It’s whether the account you already trade on can get it at all. This guide goes exchange by exchange using FuturesAI’s live payback pages, checked October 26, 2026.

Not investment advice. Futures trading with leverage can lose your entire principal. Fee payback lowers costs; it does not make a losing strategy profitable.

Can an existing exchange account get FuturesAI payback?

An existing exchange account can get FuturesAI payback only on some exchanges: FuturesAI’s pages say Bitget links accounts opened within 7 days, Bybit within 14 days, both only if no other referral code was used, while OKX can re-link an existing account, usually within 24 hours.

Exchange Payback Who pays it Existing account rule (FuturesAI exchange page)
Bitget 50% FuturesAI (link UID) Only accounts opened within 7 days that have never used another referral code can be linked
Bybit 20% Bybit directly Only accounts opened within 14 days that have never used another referral code can be linked
OKX 20% OKX directly An existing account can be re-linked; requests usually processed within 24 hours
Binance 10% Binance directly Spot can’t be undone; futures can still be linked if you haven’t opened a futures account yet
Gate 70% FuturesAI (link UID) Still being checked; ask support
Toobit 55% Toobit directly Still being checked; ask support
Echobit 55% Echobit directly Still being checked; ask support
OrangeX 55% OrangeX directly Still being checked; ask support

The 7-day and 14-day windows count from when the account was opened. If you’re inside the window, link now rather than after your first big trading week.

For Gate, Toobit, Echobit and OrangeX, FuturesAI says it is still checking whether existing accounts can be linked, and asks you to contact support so it can check yours.

Most people skip this check and assume the referral is already there.

Who actually pays the payback on each exchange?

FuturesAI pays the payback itself on Bitget and Gate after you link your exchange UID, while Bybit, OKX, Binance, Toobit, Echobit and OrangeX pay it directly under their own timing and method, according to each exchange’s page on FuturesAI.

That split explains a lot of “where is it?” confusion. On the direct-pay exchanges, nothing shows up in a FuturesAI balance. Bybit’s page says so in as many words.

  • Bitget and Gate: link your UID on FuturesAI. FuturesAI’s Bitget page says payback is credited to your FuturesAI balance once a day.
  • Withdrawing from FuturesAI: USDT to a wallet address you give (TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20), minimum 50 USDT, after a short review by FuturesAI’s team, per the Bitget page.
  • Direct-pay exchanges: look in the exchange’s own rewards or commission history, following that exchange’s policy.

Here’s where people get tripped up: they link a UID for Bybit on FuturesAI, see an empty balance, and assume it failed. It didn’t. It was never meant to land there.

Where FuturesAI’s Pages Disagree

Two of FuturesAI’s pages give different answers for the same exchange, so treat the stricter answer as the safe one and ask support before you rely on the looser one.

When I compared each exchange’s payback page with its sign-up guide FAQ, I noticed two gaps:

  • Binance: the Binance payback page says futures can still be linked if you haven’t opened a futures account yet. The Binance guide FAQ says existing Binance accounts cannot be enrolled, because Binance attaches the referral ID only at account creation.
  • OKX: the OKX payback page says an existing account can be re-linked within about 24 hours. The OKX guide FAQ uses the generic wording that an account opened without the referral “usually can’t be re-attached.”

Honestly, the practical move is the same either way. Submit your UID, wait for the answer, and don’t open a second account until support says the first one can’t be linked.

One hard line: FuturesAI’s Binance guide says Binance does not allow a second personal account with the same ID document. Don’t try it.

Is a new account worth it? The monthly math

A new referral-linked account is worth opening when the monthly fee saving beats the hassle of moving funds: at $100,000 of monthly market-order volume, the saving ranges from $5 on Binance to $45 on Bitget, based on the listed and effective fees on FuturesAI’s payback table on October 26, 2026.

The saving per dollar traded is the gap between the listed market fee and the effective fee after discount and payback. Multiply by your monthly volume:

Exchange Market fee: listed → effective Saving at $25,000/mo at $100,000/mo at $500,000/mo
Bitget 0.060% → 0.015% $11.25 $45.00 $225.00
Bybit 0.055% → 0.044% $2.75 $11.00 $55.00
OKX 0.050% → 0.040% $2.50 $10.00 $50.00
Binance 0.050% → 0.045% $1.25 $5.00 $25.00
Gate 0.050% → 0.015% $8.75 $35.00 $175.00
Toobit 0.060% → 0.027% $8.25 $33.00 $165.00
Echobit 0.060% → 0.027% $8.25 $33.00 $165.00
OrangeX 0.060% → 0.027% $8.25 $33.00 $165.00

When I checked the arithmetic for Bitget, I found that the listed 0.06% first drops to 0.03% with the fixed 50% fee discount shown on FuturesAI’s Bitget page, and 50% payback on that leaves 0.015%. That’s a quarter of the listed fee. Gate gets to the same 0.015% with a 70% payback and no discount.

Two caveats. The “listed” fee is FuturesAI’s figure before payback, and your current account may be on a different VIP fee tier, so put your own rate in its place. And the table counts only market orders. Limit orders have lower fees and smaller savings, which our Maker vs Taker Rebate Calculator: Your Mix Sets the Cost guide works through.

Small volume? At $25,000 a month, the direct-pay exchanges save a few dollars at most. For many traders that alone settles it: keep the old account. For a deeper dollar breakdown, see FuturesAI Fee Payback: What It Is Worth in Dollars.

What else can stop payback on a linked account?

A correctly linked account can still miss FuturesAI payback: exchange deposit gifts and bonuses must be used up first, each exchange has a participant cap, and exchanges that stop commissions for high-frequency or wash trading trigger the same suspension at FuturesAI, per FuturesAI’s exchange pages.

  • KYC: FuturesAI’s Bitget guide says it can only pay back fees from a verified, referral-linked account.
  • Closing the exchange account: the Bitget page says you can no longer withdraw payback from FuturesAI if you close the exchange account opened with the referral.
  • Terms can change: payback rates and partnerships can change or end, as every exchange page notes.

Tips

  • Check your account’s opening date before anything else; for Bitget and Bybit the window is days, not months.
  • Write down your exchange UID and the date you submitted it, so a support request is quick.
  • Compare your own VIP fee tier with the listed fee before deciding a new account is worth it.

Warnings

  • Do not open a second account on an exchange that bans duplicate personal accounts; Binance is one, per FuturesAI’s guide.
  • Fee rates and linking rules here were checked on October 26, 2026 and can change without notice.
  • Not investment advice. Leveraged futures can lose your entire principal, and lower fees do not change that.

FAQ

Can I add the FuturesAI referral to my old Bybit account?

Usually not. FuturesAI’s Bybit page says only accounts opened within 14 days that have never used another referral code can be linked, and anything older needs a new account opened through the FuturesAI link.

Why is there no FuturesAI balance for my OKX or Bybit payback?

Because those exchanges pay it themselves. FuturesAI’s pages say Bybit, OKX, Binance, Toobit, Echobit and OrangeX pay the payback directly under their own timing and method, and nothing is credited to a FuturesAI balance.

Can I open a second Binance account to get payback?

No. FuturesAI’s Binance guide says Binance does not permit a second personal account with the same ID document, and the referral ID is attached only when an account is created.
